Michael Kearins was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and lived there until the end of his sophomore year at Ohio University. He then enlisted in the United States Army serving in the Army Security Agency, an affiliate of the National Security Agency as a North Vietnamese linguist. Upon completing his enlistment, Mr. Kearins obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management at Pennsylvania State University.
Mr. Kearins worked in the building materials industry for over 37 years. The majority of that time was spent in the hardwood flooring industry with Triangle Pacific Flooring Group, a division of Triangle Pacific Corporation. After leaving Triangle Pacific he founded Pinnacle Interior Elements Inc., a hardwood flooring firm with partner manufacturing facilities in China. He also started Pinnacle Concepts Inc., a consulting firm, serving as President and CEO of both entities.
Upon the sale of both of those companies, he has continued to do consulting work. He currently serves as a board member for Clarke Products, Inc. He also has served on management boards for several trade groups and associations in the building materials industry.
Michael Kearins resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife, Sue.
